Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to present at the BC Association of Mathematics Teachers (BCAMT) Conference, and what a fantastic day it was!

One of my favourite things about attending professional learning events is the chance to connect with other passionate educators who are just as excited about mathematics teaching and learning as I am.

I absolutely loved sharing ideas from my own classroom, learning from other presenters, and engaging in so many inspiring conversations throughout the day. There is something incredibly energizing about being surrounded by teachers who are eager to explore new approaches, ask thoughtful questions, and share what is working for their students.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended my session! I am especially grateful for the thoughtful questions, encouraging feedback, and ideas shared during our conversations. These exchanges are what make professional learning so meaningful. I always leave with new perspectives, fresh inspiration, and even more ideas to bring back to my classroom.

Days like yesterday remind me that some of the best professional learning happens when teachers learn from one another.

I’m already looking forward to continuing these conversations and sharing more of the ideas and resources we explored.
